What actually is air ride?
Air ride suspension is still an extremely new concept to many people who either have not yet heard of it or witnessed it in action. Typical and traditional modern suspension systems work consist of a shock absorber and a coil spring which work together in absorbing the bumps and controlling the handling of the vehicle.
Air ride suspension works just like the typical suspension system on your car, but with an air bag being utilised instead of the coil spring. The benefits being that the vehilce can now be raised and lowered at the touch if a button, and the desired ride height selected for various situations such as bumpy uneven roads, typical driving heights or parking heights.
How does it work?
Air ride suspension works by utilising a combination of compressors, air tanks, various valves and pipes, a control unit and of course the air bags themselves. There are a huge number of options available on the market now, but the quality and durability and of course ease of use and maintenence varies hugely. Ultimate Car Care is renowned for its quality product choices which is why we chose the Accuair and Air Lift management systems. For us, they are simply unmatched by anything else in the world.
The air ride system is controlled by typically a series of switches, however our systems utilise the latest touchpad controller. We feel offering the best possible quality components with ease of use to our customers is the only option.
Established in 2004 Bagyard has become known worldwide for its high level of product and component quality. They are widely regarded as the best in the world which is why UCC chose this growing brand.
Bagyard struts utilise custom made Bilstein Gas Pressure, Monotube, upside-down Shock Absorbers and continental airbags at the heart of thier suspension systems. The quality of these and the other components, paired with the precision engineering and manufacturing, has created a high-quality and durable suspension that offers comfort, reliability and precise handling whatever height you set it at. These design and manufacturing techniques, coupled with the such high quality components has really set Bagyard apart from its competitors.

Bagyard suspension systems are fitted to everything from standard daily driven cars, full on show cars to cars running in excess of 500BHP. And of course, everything in between!

Air Lift are certainly not newcomers to the air ride suspension market! This fantastic brand has been producing solutions for the market since 1949! With an ever growing range of applications and solutions and a great team behind the products, Air Lift continue to impress.
With recent product developments and further fine tuning of their air struts the range is becoming one of the most popular choices with our clients. With management options ranging from four way manual setups to full digital packages there is a great choice available.
Our own VW Passat was the first Passat in the UK to have the new B5 platform airstruts and we are hugely impressed with the product.
